Romal\u0131lar\u0131n tatillerini ge\u00e7irdikleri Tivoli&#8217;de, kapsaml\u0131 bir Yunanca ve Latince eserler k\u00fct\u00fcphanesi vard\u0131 ve hatta, burada, evde okumak \u00fczere d\u0131\u015far\u0131 kitap veriliyordu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u0130SLAM VE \u0130L\u0130M <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u0130slam&#8217;\u0131n ilme verdi\u011fi \u00f6nemi bilmeyenimiz yok gibi. Kur&#8217;an-\u0131 Kerim&#8217;in ilk emrinin oku olmas\u0131 ve kitapta sat\u0131rlara ve kaleme yemin edilmesi, M\u00fcsl\u00fcmanlara ilmin \u00f6nemini anlatmaya yetiyordu. Kur&#8217;an&#8217;\u0131n Bilenlerle bilmeyenlerin bir olamayaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirtmesi buna en g\u00fczel \u00f6rnekti.<\/p>\n<p>Hz. Peygamberin de hadislerinde ilmin \u00f6nemine i\u015faret etmesi, M\u00fcsl\u00fcmanlar aras\u0131nda okuma yazma oran\u0131n\u0131 y\u00fckseltti. \u0130lim tahsil etmek, kad\u0131n- erkek her M\u00fcsl\u00fcmana farzd\u0131r., Hikmet, \u00f6zl\u00fc bilgi m\u00fc&#8217;minin yiti\u011fidir. Ard\u0131ndan binlerce \u00e2lim yeti\u015fti ve ekoller ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. \u0130slam d\u00fcnyas\u0131 daha ilk d\u00f6nemlerinde cevval bir heyecana tan\u0131k oldu. D\u00fcnyan\u0131n d\u00f6rt bir yan\u0131ndan insanlar ak\u0131n ak\u0131n ilim talebi i\u00e7in bu co\u011frafyaya ko\u015ftu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TERC\u00dcME FAAL\u0130YETLER\u0130 VE K\u00dcT\u00dcPHANELER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u0130slam&#8217;\u0131n \u00e7ok k\u0131sa bir zamanda fetihlerle d\u00fcnyan\u0131n d\u00f6rt bir yan\u0131na dal budak salmas\u0131n\u0131n ard\u0131ndan M\u00fcsl\u00fcmanlar, bu kez beklemeden ikinci bir fetihe, yani ilmi fethe ba\u015flad\u0131. \u0130ki fetih de M\u00fcsl\u00fcmanlar i\u00e7in \u00e7ok k\u0131sa s\u00fcrd\u00fc. M\u00fcsl\u00fcmanlar fethettikleri M\u0131s\u0131r, Bizans, Hint ve \u0130ran gibi kadim medeniyet diyarlar\u0131ndan toplad\u0131klar\u0131 kitaplar\u0131 Yunanca&#8217;dan, Sanskrit\u00e7e&#8217;den, Fars\u00e7a&#8217;dan, S\u00fcryanice&#8217;den Arap\u00e7aya \u00e7evirdi. Bu d\u00f6nemde ilim ve terc\u00fcmeler tarihte e\u015fi ve benzeri olmayan bir \u015fekilde dal budak sald\u0131k bu co\u011frafyada.<\/p>\n<p>B\u00fct\u00fcn bu faaliyetler sonras\u0131nda M\u00fcsl\u00fcman ilim adamlar\u0131 k\u00fct\u00fcphaneler dolusu ara\u015ft\u0131rmaya dayal\u0131 eser kaleme ald\u0131. \u0130slam d\u00fcnyas\u0131nda \u015fimdiki \u00fcniversitelerin kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 olan bir\u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck medrese a\u00e7\u0131ld\u0131 ve k\u00fct\u00fcphaneler kuruldu. Mesel\u00e2, End\u00fcl\u00fcs Emevi Halifesi el-Hakem&#8217;in, Kurtuba&#8217;da kurdu\u011fu k\u00fct\u00fcphanede 400.000 cilt kitap bulunuyordu. G\u0131rnata&#8217;da her birinde 400.000 cilt kitap bulunan 70 k\u00fct\u00fcphane mevcuttu. Bu kitaplar\u0131n katalo\u011fu bile 24 cilt tutuyordu. Fatimilerin Kahire&#8217;de kurduklar\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fck k\u00fct\u00fcphanenin her birinde 18.000 cilt kitap bulunan 40 oda vard\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Kahire&#8217;deki Halk K\u00fct\u00fcphanesi&#8217;nde 1.600.000; Saray K\u00fct\u00fcphanesi&#8217;nde 1.000.000; L\u00fcbnan&#8217;daki Trablus\u015fam \u015fehrinde ise 3.000.000 cilt kitap mevcuttu. T\u00fcrkmenistan&#8217;daki Merv \u015fehrinde i\u00e7lerinde 700.000 cilt kitap bulunan 10 k\u00fct\u00fcphane vard\u0131. Bu kitaplar astronomiden t\u0131bba, sosyolojiden biyolojiye d\u00f6nemin hemen hemen b\u00fct\u00fcn ilimleriyle ilgiliydi.<\/p>\n<p>Ge\u00e7mi\u015f d\u00f6nemde \u0130slam \u00e2leminin de\u011fi\u015fik b\u00f6lgelerinden k\u00fct\u00fcphaneler \u00e7ok yayg\u0131n haldeydi. Yan\u0131nda bir k\u00fct\u00fcphanesi bulunmayan herhangi bir cami veya medrese yok gibiydi. K\u00fct\u00fcphanesi olmayan k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fcc\u00fck bir k\u00f6y bile hemen hemen yok gibiydi. \u015eehirler ve ba\u015fkentler ise g\u00f6r\u00fclmemi\u015f bir tarzda kitap al\u0131\u015fveri\u015fiyle \u00e7alkan\u0131yordu.<\/p>\n<p>Bunlara kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k 10. y\u00fczy\u0131l\u0131n Avrupa&#8217;s\u0131nda durum \u00e7ok farkl\u0131yd\u0131. 984 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u0130talya&#8217;da Po nehri yak\u0131nlar\u0131ndaki Demuna \u015fehrindeki bir katedralde 95 el yazmas\u0131 vard\u0131. \u0130spanya&#8217;da Katalonya&#8217;da bir katedralde 10 el yazmas\u0131 vard\u0131. Bu say\u0131 961-965 y\u0131llar\u0131 aras\u0131nda ancak 65 oldu. B\u00fcy\u00fck manast\u0131r k\u00fct\u00fcphanelerinde 500 veya daha fazla kitap varsa, bu Avrupa&#8217;da dev k\u00fct\u00fcphane kabul ediliyordu. Bu d\u00f6nemde Avrupa&#8217;daki kitaplar\u0131n toplam\u0131 10.000&#8217;i bile zor buluyordu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>K\u00dcT\u00dcPHANELER NASIL \u0130D\u0130<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u0130lk kitaplar papir\u00fcs, par\u015f\u00f6men ya da kavak kabuklar\u0131 \u00fczerine yaz\u0131l\u0131yordu. 751 y\u0131l\u0131nda k\u00e2\u011f\u0131t yap\u0131m\u0131 \u00c7in&#8217;den Semerkand&#8217;a ula\u015f\u0131nca bir anda \u0130slam d\u00fcnyas\u0131na yay\u0131ld\u0131. 794 y\u0131l\u0131na gelindi\u011finde, Ba\u011fdat&#8217;ta bir k\u00e2\u011f\u0131t fabrikas\u0131 bulunuyordu. Ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan k\u00e2\u011f\u0131t bollu\u011fu, \u0130slam d\u00fcnyas\u0131nda kitap fiyatlar\u0131n\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcrm\u00fc\u015f ve her \u0130slam \u015fehrinde ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan sahaflar, canl\u0131 bir edebiyat k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn n\u00fcvesi halini alm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. B\u00f6ylece \u0130slam kentlerinde k\u00fct\u00fcphaneler artmaya ba\u015flad\u0131. B\u00fcy\u00fck umum\u00ee k\u00fct\u00fcphanelerin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra hemen hemen okuma yazma bilen her insan\u0131n evinde kocaman k\u00fct\u00fcphaneler vard\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Haydarabad, Delhi, Horasan, Semerkand, Buhara, Ba\u011fdat, Basra, D\u0131ma\u015fk, Trablus, Halep, \u0130stanbul, Kahire, Kayravan, Timbuktu ve Kurtuba gibi \u0130slam \u015fehirlerinde Daru&#8217;l Hikme, Daru&#8217;l \u0130lm, Beytu&#8217;l Hikme, Daru&#8217;l Kutup, Daru&#8217;l Ma&#8217;rife isimli onlarca umum\u00ee k\u00fct\u00fcphane bulunuyordu.<\/p>\n<p>Umum\u00ee k\u00fct\u00fcphanelerin bir\u00e7ok odalar\u0131 olurdu. Bu odalar\u0131n kimi kitap okumak i\u00e7indi, kimi ilmi m\u00fcnaka\u015fa, sohbet ve m\u00fctal\u00e2a i\u00e7indi. Kimi de m\u00fctercimlere, m\u00fcstensihler ve m\u00fccellitlere ait idi. Herkesin ilgi sahas\u0131na g\u00f6re bir sohbet grubu bulunurdu. \u00d6\u011frenciler, ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, ilim adamlar\u0131 ve ilgili \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma gruplar\u0131 bu k\u00fct\u00fcphanelerde toplan\u0131rlard\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Ayr\u0131ca k\u00fct\u00fcphanede ders \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan insanlar\u0131n dinlendi\u011fi m\u00fczik salonlar\u0131 vard\u0131. Yemekhane ve uzak yoldan gelen insanlar\u0131n kalabilecekleri yatakhaneler bile bulunuyordu. Odalar\u0131n zemini mermer, yaz\u0131n has\u0131r paspaslarla, k\u0131\u015f\u0131n ise ke\u00e7e hal\u0131lar ve y\u00fcn minderlerle kapl\u0131 olurdu. Pencere ve kap\u0131lardaki perdeler, hem okuyucular\u0131 hem de kitaplar\u0131 yaz\u0131n g\u00fcne\u015ften korurdu.<\/p>\n<p>K\u00fct\u00fcphaneye giren bir ziyaret\u00e7i k\u00fct\u00fcphaneciden, belli bir kitab\u0131 isteyebilir ya da k\u00fct\u00fcphane katalogunun kendisine getirilmesini talep edebilirdi. Kitap kopyalamak isteyen kimse, yere ya da bir minder \u00fczerine oturup, s\u0131rt\u0131n\u0131 duvara dayard\u0131. Kitap, ba\u011fda\u015f kurdu\u011fu bacaklar\u0131n\u0131n ya da \u00f6n\u00fcndeki k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck bir ah\u015fap rahlenin \u00fczerinde dururdu. Sol elinin avucunda, sa\u011f elindeki kam\u0131\u015f kalemle \u00fczerine yazaca\u011f\u0131 k\u00e2\u011f\u0131tlar\u0131 tutard\u0131. Okuyucular, kitaplar\u0131 yere koymamalar\u0131, m\u00fcrekkebi dolu bir kalemi kopyalad\u0131\u011f\u0131 veya notlar ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 kitab\u0131n \u00fczerine tutmamalar\u0131 konusunda uyar\u0131l\u0131rd\u0131.
